When we say “Drink Mindfully,” we’re not just throwing buzzwords around. We mean it, and here’s how it applies to both our alcoholic and non-alcoholic ranges.
Know What You’re Sipping
Ever looked at the ingredients on a drink label and wondered what those long, unpronounceable words are? Us too. Mindful drinking starts with being fully aware of what you’re putting into your body. Are you sipping on real, all-natural ingredients, or are you essentially having a science experiment in a glass?
Kombucha is a centuries old drink, made by fermenting green tea and sugar (but because we want our drinks to be super smooth we use raw honey instead). Fermentation is a natural process, no blending, no chemicals, just real all natural ingredients.
Cut Through the Marketing Speak
We all love a well-crafted marketing slogan, but let’s face it, not all ‘craft’ drinks are crafted equally. Some brands may boast about their ‘all-natural’ ingredients, but a quick glance at the label might reveal a lot of ‘natural flavourings,’ which, spoiler alert, may not even come from the source they’re imitating.
Did you know there is a "natural strawberry flavour" which is actually derived from certain types of bark or leaves and not strawberries? It is considered a natural flavouring because it’s source is natural, but it doesn’t have to be from the ingredient it purports to be.
Alcohol: The Opaque Industry
Here’s a fun, or rather unsettling, fact: the alcohol industry isn’t legally required to list nutritional information or ingredients. Yep, that’s right. So, when we decided to venture into alcoholic beverages, we asked ourselves: Why not be transparent? If you’re going to have a tipple, you should know exactly what’s in it. To avoid confusion, we’re not making any health claims here; we just reckon you have a right to know what you’re drinking.
Your Drink, Your Choice
Being mindful of your drink is more than just knowing its components. It’s also about choosing the best your money can buy — not just in terms of quality but also in ethical considerations like sustainability. From our infinitely recyclable cans to our composting efforts, we aim for our drinks to be as kind to the planet as they are to your taste buds.
If You Choose to Drink, Make It the Best It Can Be
Again, no health claims here, but if you do decide to drink, shouldn’t it be as good as it can possibly be? With real ingredients, transparent labelling, and an eye on sustainability, we think we’ve achieved just that. So, go on, “Drink Mindfully.” You’re not just doing it for yourself, but also for the planet. And we think that’s something worth raising a glass to.
